This stunning, high quality 4 liter cast iron pot (or Dutch Oven) is a phenomenal tool for producing amazing bread at home - you preheat the pot (and lid) in your oven, unload your loaf from our extendible oval/batard banneton or 28cm oval banneton onto some baking paper, score with your lame/blade, and transfer into the pre-heated pot and place back in the oven. The intense heat gives maximum oven spring and forces the loaf to expand upwards rather than sideways while the lid retains the steam produced by the loaf inside the pot which produces a beautiful, thin crust. The lid features steam spots to ensure droplets form and dorp evenly onto your loaf rather than run down the side.
