At Bread Republic we highly recommend bulk fermenting dough overnight in the fridge - it's not only very convenient but the slow fermentation allows for greater taste and nutritional development while also improving the texture of the final result. Did you know dough retains moisture better when cold so it's easier to handle out of the fridge?
These rectangular containers are ideal for this use - they take much less space than bulky round containers and when you turn the dough out onto a counter to divide and shape the dough already has a nice symmetrical, rectangular shape, which is very useful especially for breads like ciabatta where you likely just want to cut into smaller rectangles.
They're not ideal for mixing as the flour can get a little stuck in the corners so for that we recommend our round Dough Mixing Bowls.
I love this for proving my dough. The square shape helps take up less space in the fridge overnight than a round one. These new ones are green and are quite pretty too. I love mine.

A bit overpriced, but Its the perfect size with rounded corners so cleaning is easy. It’s not essential though so buy it after you’ve bought all your other items.
